We Return Our Patients to Normal Function in 10-12 Visits With Our Integrated Functional Approach!

ALL-ACCESS Physical Therapy, Inc.'s mission is to ensure that our patients and clients achieve their functional/sports goals. It is our goal to provide the highest quality of physical therapy care, education, and consultation within the communities and patient populations we serve.

PT explaining All Access PT's physical therapy care approach. We believe our 10-12 physical therapy visits per patient average is outstanding based on the results we achieve in those visits. Other physical therapy clinics may have lower visits per patient averages, but their patients are being discharged without their goals and functional capacity in mind. Pain free movement should not be the only indicator of normal function! Too often we hear of patients receiving physical therapy at other clinics then being discharged the minute they are pain free. We know because the same patients then see us for treatment because they have re-injured themselves. The reason: they were originally discharged too soon without achieving optimal functional movement and stability to avoid further injury.

So, What is the Integrated Functional Approach?

When addressing a patient's problem, we look at their body as a whole. In other words, we don't just address the injured body part. We evaluate the entire body (Kinetic chain) to determine the source(s) of the pathology. We are able to increase mobility and stability to the injured area by educating patients on how to activate surrounding muscle groups more effectively. This improves their functional movement and stability and allows them to remain pain free once they have been discharged from physical therapy.

Often, while in therapy, patients become pain free within 8 visits with this approach. But we don't discharge them because we want to maximize their ability to move in different planes of motion with increased resistance while maintaining proper core stabilization. We take the same approach regardless of the body part that has been injured. We find this approach is effective with both non-surgical and post-surgical patients and it is why we continue to build our reputation among patients and physicians alike.

How Manual Therapy and Core Stabilization Fit in Our Integrated Functional Approach

We use the Integrated Functional Approach (IFA) to help patients achieve optimum function as soon as possible. In order to utilize these treatment protocols effectively, we have been thoroughly trained in 52 manual therapy techniques which help our patients to increase their flexibility, decrease muscle spasm, improve joint alignment, improve neuromuscular function, improve posture, and relieve pain. Using these techniques allows us to effectively teach our patients the proper movement patterns and exercises they will need to return to normal function comfortably. Additionally, we often combine manual therapy techniques with exercise to better simulate functional movement patterns and increase strength in the muscles and while achieving better joint mobility or stability which leads to better movement patterns without pain.

We teach core stabilization with all movements. Therefore all or our 385 exercises incorporate core stabilization cueing techniques.  Incorporating core stabilization with movement reduces stress to injured areas, hastens strengthening, and allows our patients return to normal function w/out pain sooner.
